I have personally been a vintage car owner since 1960...I met Steve in 1985 and he had recently moved to South Florida from Montreal Canada and opened up a Corvette specialty service and vintage car restoration facility. Over the past 35 years, whenever I had a Corvette that was special and needed anything done to it, I have always taken it to Steve. The quality of his work, along with his hard working ethics and incomparable honesty are just 3 of the reasons I love taking any of my cars to Steve. This has been Steve's personally owned big block Corvette Coupe along with his Spectacular Red 1967 Corvette Roadster. He reluctantly has decided to sell this very special big block Coupe for all the right reasons. His shop is so busy he just doesn't have the time to drive this almost perfect, all matching numbers, big block factory air-conditioned sport coupe. He said when he purchased this low mileage coupe many years ago, it was Riverside gold. Steve meticulously painted this car to its current Can-Am white and in carefully examining this Vette, it is impossible to tell it was ever any other color other than Can Am white. The meticulous body-on restoration was completed in 2009. However, Steve has had his car freshened up once or twice a year and that is why it looks and drives like it was just finished. The drive line in this car, specifically the engine, transmission and differential are the same that was in this Corvette when it left the Corvette factory in St. Louis back in 1969. The interior is in amazing condition and other than the new carpeting, it is all factory original (NDLR: trim plate indicates saddle while it is now black. Therefore there a swap somwhere, interior or trim tag). The hide-a-way wipers and hide-a-way head lights work perfect. Steve added an electric fan that is operated with a toggle switch under the dash. When your stuck in traffic with the AC on and the outside temperature is 95+, you'll be glad you can keep this big block running at normal recommended operating temperatures. He also added the gorgeous side mounted exhaust system.($3000) Not only do they look great...they sound amazing. All the gauges, lights, horn, radio, air-conditioning, horn and other accessories function correctly. The disc brakes work great and this car tracks arrow straight...I had the pleasure of driving this Corvette today on the Florida turnpike at 75-80 mph with the AC blowing ice cold. This really is a turn-key magnificent highly collectible big block Vette that I wouldn't hesitate to drive coast to coast. There is a very cleverly hidden anti-theft device in this car which will ONLY be revealed to its new owner. The 4/speed M-21 close-ratio manual transmission shifts perfect and is a real joy to drive. The clutch is easy to depress and works to perfection. The brakes in this Corvette are Excellent. Steve install an electric fan which can be turn on & off with the simple flick under the dash in easy reach of the driver. Synchros are perfect...no grinding in any gears! Steve did an amazing ground up restoration on his car and paid great attention not just to the cosmetic looks but to everything mechanical & electrical as well. He said there was no reason to take the body off the car to restore it as it was and is a car with no rust issues. During the restoration he remove the fuel tank and found the tank sticker...but it was in too poor of condition to save. The owner's manual with the car is the 1969 ORIGINAL one...not a reproduction. It comes with beautiful Corvette floor mats and a pair of like new storage covers for the factory T-tops. Sold for $51,495 on July 31, 2016. For sale again on august 2016. $51,477 (RnM) on August 13, 2016. $49,001 (RnM) on August 26, 2016. $30,095 (RnM) on September 9, 2016. $44,100 (RnM) on September 26, 2016. 1) Euro Motorsport is offering this 1969 Corvette. Finished in white over black leather with T-tops, a/c, power steering, power brakes, 427 cubic inch with 390 horsepower, 4 speed manual, soft ray tinted windows, side exhaust, tilt wheel, red line tires, and am/fm radio. Runs and drives perfectly. Restored locally about 2 years ago. Mileage: Unknown. July 28, 2012. |
